Why Not Initially Advertise For A Credentialed PWD Director?


COVID19 has created a huge unemployment rate. Perhaps resulting in a qualified candidate for TOF’s Public Works Department (PWD) lead position. One with his/her certifications in place. TOF’s PWD has been without an accredited director for 2 years. A steep and expensive learning curve exists in hiring and training personnel who don’t initially meet basic TOF job requirements. Did Mayor and Council consider again contracting with Spencer of Curb Box Specialists? Did Mayor and Council seek out any solution other than that of again promoting the part time person to a full time director position with the hope and a prayer that said candidate attends “water school ” and subsequently passes “the test”? The following classified advertisement appeared in the June 25, 2020 edition of the Carbon County News. Vol. 100, No. 26.
