Are the Mills Set Forth in TOF Resolution 523 Incorrect?

Attention: Carbon County Assessor Mark Herron, State of Montana – Department of Revenue – Property Assessment Division Area 2-3C Supervisor Chad Beckman and Carbon County Commissioners

We believe several areas of math on said TOF Resolution 523 are incorrect per the following photographic documentation.

Per the following screenshot: 123.74 +18.4=142.14 not 144.94 for a difference of 2.8 mills, which amount seems to directly come out of the Fromberg Rural Fire Voted Mills funding. Per another screenshot, TOF taxpayers were indeed charged the 144.94 mills.

Additionally, we believe General Fund TOF mills should be approximately 83.76 and not the 123.74 shown on said Resolution 523, per another included screenshot. 40,486÷483310=83.7681819. In our estimation, this seems close to a 33% taxation overage, which was subsequently assessed and billed, without TOF ever having had a Preliminary Budget Hearing! The first half of said 2023 taxes became due and payable November 30, 2023, and thereby became delinquent, had Fromberg taxpayers not paid that portion in full.

Additionally, we believe the  Fromberg Rural Fire Voted Mills are also incorrect. Our math shows 7503.71÷483310= 15.5256668 mills, not the 18.4 mills listed on TOF Resolution 523, per another included screenshot.

If the mills set forth on TOF Resolution 523 are indeed incorrect, then these errors are alarming, and have put a large undue tax burden on Fromberg property owners.
